Wavestream Announces Worldwide Service Center Certification Program

Qualified Service Center Network to be Established

San Dimas, California, June 15, 2010 – Today, Wavestream Corporation announced a new Service Center Certification Program to certify regional centers worldwide to provide technical support and repair services for Wavestream Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA) and Block Upconverters (BUC). The first certification training program is being conducted in Asia, with Level 1 certified companies to be in place in Asia by mid-July 2010.

“The new Service Center Certification Program will create a network of highly qualified, highly trained technical experts to provide timely service and support for Wavestream products,” stated Cliff Cooke, president and chief executive officer of Wavestream. “Customers can be assured that each Service Center will remain current on Wavestream products, have access to Wavestream engineering personnel for assistance, and are qualified and certified every year by Wavestream personnel to provide product support to our customers.”

Wavestream’s new Service Center Certification Program will establish three service levels, with each progressive level providing a higher degree of technical expertise, more extensive equipment and facility capabilities, and broader product knowledge. The program will begin with Level 1 certification, in which selected companies will be trained and certified to provide basic product assessment and troubleshooting support. Level 1 capabilities will include 24 hour, 7 day a week telephone and electronic troubleshooting, external diagnostics, warranty and Return Materials Authorization (RMA) coordination, and stock product inventory to support rapid service exchange when required.

Companies successfully completing the Service Center Certification Program will be re-evaluated, tested, and re-certified each year to ensure they maintain the highest quality standards, technical knowledge and equipment to support Wavestream’s products and worldwide customer base. Level 2 and 3 Service Centers will be embedded in Wavestream facilities and manned by Wavestream personnel.
