About Wavestream
- We design and manufacture Radio Frequency (RF) amplifiers for Satellite Communications Systems
- Our RF amplifiers use solid-state sources to produce high to very-high power at microwave and millimeter-wave frequencies.
- For equivalent RF output power, we require only half the semiconductor content as competing companies. Semiconductor content drives the size, weight, power draw (efficiency) and cost. We deliver all of these advantages – smaller size, lower weight, higher efficiency and lower cost – to our customers.
- Our lower semiconductor content to RF power ratio also enables Wavestream to deliver amplifiers at very-high power levels that in the past had only been economically addressed by vacuum electron devices – vacuum tubes. Bringing solid-state to these very-high power applications is an important part of Wavestream’s mission.
